Yesterday we considered the question: How do we get to paradise??
We all long for paradise. We long for escape from the brokenness of the world we are living in. We long for escape from the chaos, the pain, and the suffering.
We try lots of different paths … looking for the gateway to paradise. But, like our background photo for today shows, all those gates lead to nothing and to nowhere … briars and thorns; scratches and scars.
* “All of our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.” – Isaiah 64:6
* “There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.” – Romans 3:10-12
* “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” – Romans 3:23
* “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 6:23
Look! In the verse! There it is! … eternal life! How do we get eternal life??
It is a gift. Eternal life is a free gift … given to us by God.
How do we get this gift of eternal life?? How do we get to paradise??
We must come to Jesus Christ. Only Jesus Christ can give us eternal life. Only Jesus Christ can grant us access to paradise.

Come to Jesus Christ!
Jesus Christ alone is the Gateway to Heaven!
