We recently have had the start of a wasp’s nest in the top of our car barn. It’s been too high to knock down, and my aim with stones hasn’t been very good. I’ve thought often how we need to knock it down … soon! … those things grow big! And they grow fast! But whenever it would come to mind the time wasn’t convenient.
It has made me think how sin is a lot like that … sin starts out so small. We might notice it, but it’s not convenient to deal with it right away. So it grows … it grows big … and fast! … and it is causes all kinds of hurt. Just like that wasp nest.
Last night we went out, with great intentionality, taking the telescoping tree-pruner, and we knocked that wasp nest down!
