Uniquely Different

Uniquely Different

God has made each of us uniquely different.
– We have unique personalities.
– We have unique background experiences.
– We have unique skills, talents, and abilities.
– We have been uniquely gifted for a specific purpose and task which God has called us to.

Likewise, God has placed us each in uniquely specific locations where He wants us to serve Him and shine His LIGHT to that particular corner of the world.

*  Some of us God has placed on high rocky bluffs.

*  Some of us God has placed on windswept rocky offshore islands.

*  Some of us God has placed on barren craggy overlooks.

*  Some of us God has created to be tall, slender lighthouses.

*  Some of us God has created to be short, squatty lighthouses.

*  Some of us God has created to be long and low;   some He has painted with wide alternating stripes.

*  Some of us God has created to flash our light beacon in 14 second intervals.

*  Some of us God has created to flash our light beacon in 30 second intervals.

*  Some of us God has created to flash alternating beacons.

We are all different … to shine God’s LOVE in different ways … to uniquely different coastlines.

  • LOVE does not envy.

There is no need for us to feel like our light beacon is not as good as someone else’s light beacon.  There is no need to wish our light beacon looked like someone else’s light beacon.    Our light beacon is exactly and specifically the way God wants it to be;  located in the exact, specific place God wants it to be;  doing the exact, specific job God wants it to do … to shine the LIGHT of His LOVE!

  • LOVE does not boast.

There is no reason at all for us to feel like our light beacon is better than someone else’s light beacon.  There is no reason at all for us to feel like our light beacon is doing a better job than someone else’s light beacon.  No reason at all!  Do your job of shining God’s LOVE where God has place you.  And be happy that they are likewise doing their job of shining God’s LOVE where God has placed them.

  • LOVE is not proud.

The light beacon pictured in today’s background photo does not look at all like the typical traditional lighthouse.   Yet, it is doing its job of shining the LIGHT.   God has made us all different!  There is no reason at all to be proud because our lighthouse/ light beacon looks like all the other lighthouses / light beacons we are accustomed to.  There is no reason at all to look down on other lighthouses / light beacons that are located in other locations, which might look different than our preferred-style.   We are ALL lighthouses / light beacons … and we ALL have the same job:  to shine the LOVE of Jesus!

God shines His LOVE uniquely and individually through each of us.

The Fruit of the Spirit is LOVE.
