So … how is it going?? –  2.0

So … how is it going?? –  2.0

You have probably been wondering:  “Did the little snail ever make it down??”  (from the blog post a few days ago about the little snail hanging out in dangerous places!)   Hanging out in dangerous places! – Daily Blessing Life Lessons

Hubby and I were out working in the yard over the weekend, and as we were transplanting a fern to just below the deck  …  lo and behold, there was the little snail!

He hadn’t made it all the way down yet  …  but he was certainly making progress.   He was about halfway down to the ground from where he originally started – up there on top of the railing, in dangerous places!

This exact same thing is also true when it comes to people.   We each, at one time or another throughout our life, find ourselves hanging out in “dangerous places.”   It might be a place of pride.   It might be a place of addiction.   etc. …

The examples are endless, so just fill in whatever comes to mind for you.

We realize we are “hanging out in a dangerous place.”   We realize this place is not good or healthy for us.

But, just like the little snail, it is a process to get down out of that dangerous place to someplace safer and healthier for us.

It is a process to come down out of our own arrogance and pride  …  and get to a place of humility.   We most likely will feel discouraged along the way, because we are still so far from where we want to be.

But we aren’t where we originally started.   We’re making progress.

It’s a process.   We’re getting there.   Keep going!

It is a process to come out of a place of addiction  …  and get to a place of freedom from that addiction.   We most likely will feel discouraged along the way, because we aren’t making progress as fast as we want.

But we’re making progress.   We’re trying!   We’re getting there.

It’s a process.   Keep going!

Whatever example came to mind for you  …  it’s a process, whatever it is.   You might be discouraged.   But it will take time.

Keep going!   Keep trying!

It’s a process.   You’re getting there.

Be patient with people.   Even if it doesn’t seem like they are making much progress.
It is a process!
