We came across several blooming skunk-cabbage on Saturday. I was pretty excited … I think skunk-cabbage is a cool-looking plant. It gets it’s name from the fact that when it’s leaves are crushed or bruised it emits a skunk-like odor.
I’ve been thinking a lot this week how people are a lot like skunk-cabbage. Everyone looks really fantastic! Just like this beautiful blooming plant. But as soon as someone’s opinion or feelings get crushed or bruised, they become a big stink! That pretty much sums up the world nowadays. God, please help me not to be a skunk-cabbage!
