Raise a Hallelujah!

Raise a Hallelujah!

Hubby and I were over at our son and daughter-in-law’s home for Sunday afternoon brunch, when I was captivated by the beautiful yellow tulip magnolia blooms in front of their house!   The cheerful yellow blooms just seemed to be shouting praise to their maker as they raised their little “hallelujah” petals to heaven!

They seem to be saying:  “I raise a hallelujah!”

The tulip magnolia blooms reminded me of the tulip poplar blooms we used to have when we lived on the opposite side of the country several years ago.   Aren’t they pretty!

These photos were taken back in 2012.   Even here you can see these tulip poplar blooms are raising their little “hallelujah” petals to heaven in praise to their maker!

“I raise a hallelujah!”

I love how the new growth of the Lodgepole pine trees and the Mugo pine bush is straight up & down vertical.   They are totally “raising a hallelujah” in praise to their maker as they lift their new growth toward the sky!

“I raise a hallelujah!”

Looks like this little caterpillar is joining in the “hallelujah” too, as it is also going vertical as well!

“I raise a hallelujah!”

The raspberries are “raising a hallelujah”!   Just look at all their new growth lifting leafy “hands” in praise to their maker!

“I raise a hallelujah!”

This little rhododendron bloom is “lost” back in the greenery of the forest.   It probably feels like it’s bloom is “unseen.”   Perhaps it wonders: does its bloom even matter??

And yet, there it is “raising a hallelujah” too  …  right where it is at.

I see it!   Standing at my kitchen sink each morning fixing my hot coco for breakfast  …  I see it’s little splash of color peeking through the greenery of the forest.   I see its “hallelujah”!

I see it each evening as I stand at the kitchen sink fixing dinner for my family.   I see its “hallelujah”!

And so, I too “raise a hallelujah”!    If that little bloom can “raise a hallelujah” in its “unseen” hidden place, then I can “raise a hallelujah” too!

So, I sing in my kitchen as I do what God has called me to do.   I “raise a hallelujah” as I love and serve my family!   I “raise a hallelujah” as I drive to the dentist!   I “raise a hallelujah” as I run the vacuum and fold laundry and do my daily tasks.

Raise a Hallelujah
By: Bethel Music

I raise a hallelujah!
In the presence of my enemies.
I raise a hallelujah!
Louder than the unbelief.
I raise a hallelujah!
My weapon is a melody.
I raise a hallelujah!
Heaven comes to fight for me.

I’m gonna sing in the middle of the storm.
Louder and louder, you’re gonna hear my praises roar.
Up from the ashes, hope will arise.
Death is defeated, the King is alive!

I raise a hallelujah!
With everything inside of me!
I raise a hallelujah!
I will watch the darkness flee.
I raise a hallelujah!
In the middle of the mystery.
I raise a hallelujah!
Fear you lost your hold on me.

I’m gonna sing in the middle of the storm.
Louder and louder, you’re gonna hear my praises roar.
Up from the ashes, hope will arise.
Death is defeated, the King is alive!

I raise a hallelujah!

I raise a hallelujah!

I raise a hallelujah!

I raise a hallelujah!

I raise a hallelujah!

I raise a hallelujah!
