It’s raining today! A cold, steady October Fall rain.
And check it out! We have a roof! This is very exciting!
Only a small portion across the back still is unfinished – the roofers are here again today, working in the downpour. Maybe they’ll finish today???
But for right now I’m just thankful the rest of our house now has a roof!
Thank you God for a roof!
Thank you God for rainy day joys!
A doe came by this morning! I was so happy to see her! With the roofers being here the past three weeks, the deer have not come around.
Thank you God for rainy day joys!
My son and daughter-in-law came over last weekend, and they brought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Here … after a full week, the lily and sunflower are still blooming!! So pretty! Happiness on my kitchen counter!
Thank you God for rainy day joys!
What could be more cozy than a candle on a rainy Fall day?
Thank you God for rainy day joys!
Check it out! Our Christmas poinsettia from last year is starting to turn red! It’s beginning to look a “little bit” like Christmas!
Thank you God for rainy day joys!
Speaking of Christmas … our “Christmas” cactus is blooming! Exciting!
I don’t know who decided to name these plants “Christmas” cactuses. I think they would be more aptly named “November/March” cactuses. Since ours always blooms in November & March.
And speaking of rainy day joys … my son just sent me a photo of his Christmas cactus! His is blooming too! So pretty!! Obviously, his must be a “November/March” cactus too! Haha!
Thank you God for rainy day joys shared!
And last but not least … God gave me an answer to prayer today!
With it being so dark and dreary, I pulled out the lava lamps. (festive!) These used to be my son’s and daughter’s when they were little.
As I sat gazing at the lava lamps, it occurred to me that a lava lamp would be a great Christmas gift for our precious little friend up in Alaska! We already have Christmas gifts ready to go for everyone else … except I have been stumped as to what would be the perfect gift for a precious 7-yr. old animal lover!
I got out my phone and went on to Amazon to shop for a lava lamp … where I discovered a similar lamp which has floating jellyfish!! It’s the same basic idea as a lava lamp … but instead of blobs floating around inside, it has glow-in-the-dark jellyfish bobbing & swimming around inside!! Is that not amazing!?!
What an absolutely perfect Christmas gift for a 7-yr. old animal lover! I have been praying for weeks now, asking God to please show me what gift to get for our precious little friend! And today, God answered that prayer!
Thank you God for rainy day joys!
What joys has God blessed you with today??
