November joys … Beanbag chairs!

November joys … Beanbag chairs!

My daughter is having a spa party/movie night at her place!

And she invited me to come!   I’m so excited!   I’ve never been to a spa party before!    We’re all going to munch on tacos, make raspberry Italian-cream sodas, put moisturizing mud-masks on our faces, and watch a Hallmark Christmas movie!   Funness!   I can’t wait!

Of course, being a mom, one of my biggest weaknesses is doing things for my kids for no reason whatsoever … other than “I love you.”

And so  …  right away, I decided that my daughter needed additional comfy seating for her event.    Comfy seating, as in  …  beanbag chairs!

Hubby and I already have one beanbag chair at our place.   I could bring that over for the party.   But necessity dictates that we must have at least two more beanbag chairs!

And why two??

Because my daughter needs one to relax and lounge around in after her party.    And since we’re at it, it would be nice if hubby and I had a second beanbag chair.    There’s nothing quite as nice as relaxing in a beanbag chair in front of a warm cozy fire on a cold day!

And this way, there will be a total of three beanbag chairs available for my daughter’s spa party/movie night!

So, hubby went along with my crazy mom-notion and ordered two beanbag chair covers.    His online searching led him to discover that it is now “with it” to fill beanbag chairs with shredded memory foam.    Seriously??    We had no idea this was a thing.

So we purchased what we assumed would be enough shredded memory foam for two beanbag chairs.

I would just like to inform anyone who might be in the market for a beanbag chair like we were  …  shredded memory foam does not make for good beanbag chair filler (by itself).

For starters  …  its heavy.

And once you have your beanbag chair filled with the heavy shredded foam  …  it doesn’t hold you like a chair.    It’s more like a doggie bed.    As long as you sit directly on top of it like a doggie bed, it’s great.

So, hubby and I went online shopping once more, and this time we found the styrophome beanbag beans!

If you happen to be in the market for a beanbag chair  …  combining shredded memory foam with regular styrophome beans makes for a fabulously comfy beanbag chair!    Definitely do try this!

Yay for beanbag chairs!

And Yay for doing crazy mom-things for my kids, for no other reason than “I love you!”

And Yay for spa party/movie nights!

Thank you God for November joys!
