No room for the LIGHT

No room for the LIGHT

In today’s background photo, it is clear that the little clay pot has been specifically designed to be filled with light.  But something else is already filling up the little clay pot.  There is no room for the light.

The light, which obviously is meant to go inside the little clay pot, is sitting perched on the top of everything else … unlit, of course.

In much the same way, many people claim to be “Christians” … but like this little clay pot, their lives do not shine God’s LIGHT.

Each one of us has been intentionally created by God … and purposefully designed for His LIGHT to fill our lives (just as the little clay pot was intentionally and purposefully designed to be filled with light).

Yet many people fill their lives up to the brim with everything else besides God.  There is no room for God.

Additionally, many people know a lot about God; and this knowledge about God sits perched up on top of everything else.

However, knowing about God is completely different than knowing God (personally, intimately, relationally!).   It is when we truly know God personally, intimately, relationally, at a deep heart level that His LIGHT fills our life!

So, what is needed in order for the light to fill the little clay pot?

The little clay pot must first be emptied.

In the same way, we must allow God to empty our “little clay pot” (our life) of everything that does not belong there.

Then we must allow God to fill our life with the brilliant flame of His LIGHT!

It is all a work of God!  It’s all and only God who can fill our “little clay pot” with His beautiful radiant LIGHT!
