My Family

My Family
My Family is radical!
My Family is diverse!
My Family is a conglomeration
from the “best” to the “worst.”

My Family has those
who seem “squeaky & clean.”
My Family has those
who bring “baggage” to the scene.

My Family has those
who are wise and mature.
My Family has those
who are young and unsure.

My Family has those
who are proper and prim.
My Family has those
who have tattooed skin.

My Family has those
who love to dance to the beat.
My Family has those
who never tap their feet.

I love my Family!
I love being a part!
This love for my Family
overflows from my Father’s heart.

There are some who are kooky!
There are some who annoy!
But we’re all still family –
for God’s glory and our joy.

As Family we’re called
to join hand in hand
to storm the gates of hell
and accomplish God’s plan.

So as Family we unite.
We work together as a team.
We “go to work with Dad,”
and see Him do great things.

As Family we care
for the weak and the poor.
That right there
is what our Family is for!

As Family we grieve
over one another’s pain.
We know that life’s heartaches
leave things forever changed.

As Family we support.
As Family we weep!
As Family we trust
the great Shepherd of the sheep.

As Family we care deeply
for other Family members’ needs,
even if we’ve never met …
cause we’re Family, you see.

As Family we worship!
We raise our voices loud!
We praise our Great God
in a packed-out crowd!

Though we might not know each other
we’re still Family – of course!
So as one big Family
we sing until we’re hoarse!

Surely this is how
Heaven will be …
as we sing and praise and worship God
as one big Family!

I truly love my Family!
I love being a part!
I love to “go to work with Dad”!
I love the Father’s heart!

I love to intercede on behalf
of Family I don’t know.
And I can’t wait for Heaven
when we’ll finally say “Hello!”

We’ll all join hands together,
(and we’ll know each other’s names!)
And we’ll sing! (and not go hoarse),
as we worship God in praise!
