Love is stable!

Love is stable!

After my friend’s spine surgery, her walker became her stability.   Her walker empowered her to function in life like normal.   Her walker was her “freedom.”

If she wanted to get up out of bed and move to the recliner  …  her walker empowered her to do so.   Her walker was her “stability.”

If her back wearied of the recliner and she needed to lie back down in bed  …  she had the “freedom” to do so.   Her walker was her “stability.”

If my friend couldn’t sleep in the wee hours of the night due to pain  …  her walker gave her the “freedom” to maneuver through the house to the kitchen, where she could always find little cups of chocolate pudding awaiting her in the fridge, along with a banana.   A little something sweet goes a long way to distract from the pain.

If my friend wanted to sort through her suitcases, her walker was her stability, enabling and empowering her to do so.

If my friend wanted to take a shower, her walker gave her the stability and “freedom” to do so.

Even though my friend was fragile, weak, and wounded from her surgery, she was empowered to move about freely so that she could recover faster … thanks to the stability of her walker!   She had “freedom” to do and to accomplish things  …  thanks to the stability of her walker!

In the same way – love is stability!

Love provides stability which empowers us, so that we can accomplish great things in life!

Love provides stability which gives us “freedom” to do things we couldn’t do otherwise.

Love is stable!

God’s love for me is stable!

The stability of God’s love empowers me  …  so that I can accomplish great things in life for Him!    Such as:  caring for my friend after her intense surgery  …  even through scary thunderstorms  …  while hubby is out of town on business.

The stability of God’s love gives me “freedom” to care for my friend without fear.   The stability of God’s love empowers me to do things I never would have thought I could do.

Do you feel “wobbly” in life?   Do you feel like the world around you is “unstable” right now?   Are you fearful and afraid that everything is going to come crashing down?

God offers stability for you too!

God’s love can give you stability so that you don’t have to be worried or fearful.   God’s love can give you stability so that you can move with “freedom” through life knowing that no matter what happens, God’s got you!   God won’t let you fall.   God is holding you fast and solid.

God’s love can give you stability so that you are empowered to do what you need to do in life.   You don’t have to feel “trapped” by circumstances.   The stability of God’s love will enable and empower you to keep moving forward, one step at a time.

Yes, it might be painful and difficult  …  just like walking for my friend was painful and difficult.   But moving was the key to her recovery.   And her walker empowered her to be able to move.

So also, if you feel “trapped” in life, “getting going” is probably the key to your path forward.   And God’s stability will empower you to be able to take the next step you need to take.

Love is stable!

God’s love is stable!

We can’t function in life without stability.

Let God’s love be your stability  …  keeping you on your feet and moving forward, one step at a time, even when it feels like everything in life is crashing down around you.
