My Hoopes rose is blooming! This brings me so much joy!
This little rose was a gift (probably 10 years ago) from some very special friends. I planted the little rose in our yard at the home where we lived 10 years ago. When we moved, I dug it up and it lived in a pot on the back deck at the next place we lived.
When hubby and I moved to our home in the forest, the little rose found a permanent spot on the back deck (up out of the reach of nibbling deer).
Last year, the someone special who gifted me the little rose left this earth and went to Heaven to be with Jesus. I think of this special someone almost every day.
The cheerful little rose, blooming with joyful color, reminds me every day of this very special someone who is right now in the fabulous perfection of Heaven, rejoicing in the presence of Jesus!
This special someone might not be here on this earth any more … but their impact on my life continues!
Just like the little rose brings me delight and joy just by its existence … so too, in the same way, we each bring delight and joy to God, our Heavenly Father, just by being who He made us to be. And just by “blooming” the way He made us to “bloom.”
The special someone who gifted me the little rose – their life was full of “blooms.” They “bloomed” just the way God made them to “bloom!” And their life brought delight to God!
Never underestimate the impact your life has on someone else.
That little “seemingly insignificant” act of kindness, or word of encouragement, or gift you give to someone else … it just might wind up sitting in a place where they see it each day … and they think of you whenever they see it.
And as they think of you, they think of the joy of Jesus! They think of the light of Jesus! They think of the peace of Jesus!
And they think of the presence of Jesus!
Your life is having impact which you might never know!
