Who is Jesus?
Jesus Christ is the maker of all things. Jesus Christ is ruler over everything!
* “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else.” – Acts 17:24
* “You alone are the LORD. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry hosts, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you.” – Nehemiah 9:6
* “From one man [Adam] he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. For in him we live and move and have our being.” – Acts 17:26-28
Jesus Christ defeated the curse of sin, which holds all people captive and separates us from being able to go to heaven.
* “For just as through the disobedience of the one man [Adam] the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man [Jesus Christ] the many will be made righteous.” – Romans 5:19
* “You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Jesus Christ died for the ungodly.” – Romans 5:6
* “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.” – 1 John 3:16
Jesus Christ has provided a way for us to go to heaven!
* “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” – 1 John 1:9
* “Therefore, since we have been made just as though we never sinned, through our faith in Jesus Christ, we now have peace with God.” – Romans 5:1
* “God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son [Jesus Christ]. He who has the Son [Jesus Christ] has life; he who does not have the Son of God [Jesus Christ] does not have life.” – 1 John 5:11-12
Jesus Christ is the one and only gateway to Heaven.
Any other gate is the wrong gate.
