This summer hubby and I, along with our two kids, were driving across a vast expansive landscape, when I glanced off to the right and noticed this small house and barn nestled up against this mighty hillside!
Phenomenal contrast isn’t it!
My immediate “blink” reaction was: In all of His great creation, God cares about tiny little me.
The land we were exploring was covered with glaciers! In the above photo, it is clearly obvious where the glacier used to sweep down over that cliff and spread out into the area below … right where this tiny-looking home and barn are now situated.
Here you can see a glacier doing just that … spilling over the edge of the ridge and sweeping down to spread out across the area below. There is no small house and barn nestled up against this mighty hillside. It’s nothing but a massive wall of ice!
The same God who made that massive, mighty glacier … that very same God cares about every single “tiny little person” who builds their home where that mighty glacier once used to be.
God cares about people! Every “tiny little person” who lives in a place where there once used to be a glacier … God cares about their problems. God cares about their struggles. God cares when they are lonely. God cares when they cry.
Here you can see another retreating glacier … and you can see homes and buildings have been built in the area where the glacier used to be just a few years ago.
Those mighty powerful glaciers were created by an even more mighty, more powerful God!
And that great and mighty and all-powerful God cares about tiny little people … like me! And like you!
God loves and cares for people! No matter where you are. You don’t have to live in a home dwarfed by the overshadowing hill where a glacier used to be. You might live in an apartment, dwarfed by tall skyrises filling the view in all directions.
God cares about you!
God cares about your problems! God cares about your needs!
God cares about your loneliness!
And God is with you! God is right here!
In all His great creation … God cares about tiny little me.
