God has a good purpose and plan, even when He says “No.”

God has a good purpose and plan, even when He says “No.”

This past Sunday’s sermon was from Psalm 23 – “The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want.”

I have been pondering how sometimes it doesn’t feel like “I shall not want.” Sometimes there are things that I really really want, which my good shepherd says “No” to.

My good shepherd sees the future. My good shepherd knows things which I can’t even begin to fathom. If my good shepherd says “No” … then it’s for a good reason.

I need to trust my good shepherd.

M good shepherd loves me! My good shepherd is doing what is best for me, according to His will!

No matter the heartache I might feel … no matter the disappointment … no matter the tears or the pain … my good shepherd is taking care of me! I need to trust my good shepherd!

“‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,’ declares the LORD. ‘As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.'” – Isaiah 55:8-9
