The Fruit of the Spirit is GOODNESS.
There is so much confusion in our world nowadays as to “what is good?” How do we know what is good or not good?? How do we know what is true or not true?? How do we navigate the confusion? How do we make decisions … complicated decisions, with far-reaching consequences … when we don’t know what is good or true anymore??
The Fruit of the Spirit is GOODNESS … the Holy Spirit fills our lives with the very GOODNESS of God Himself! Even though we are surrounded by chaos and confusion swirling all around us, we can know with absolute certainty what is GOOD and what is true because the Holy Spirit fills our life with GOODNESS.
* “The fruit of the LIGHT consists in all GOODNESS, Righteousness, and Truth.” -Ephesians 5:9
* “Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of Truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of Righteousness in place…” -Ephesians 6:13-14
Fruit of the Spirit GOODNESS is directly tied to Righteousness and Truth!
- The GOODNESS which the Holy Spirit develops in our lives will arm us with Truth!
- The GOODNESS which the Holy Spirit develops in our lives will protect us with Righteousness!
- The Holy Spirit develops GOODNESS in our lives by our active, regular, constant use of the Sword of the Spirit … which is the Word of God!
