“Forest Heart”  –  a poem for Mother’s Day

All throughout the years when my kids were little and growing up, I would write a Mother’s Day poem each year for Mother’s Day.  In fact, those poems were the very beginning of my writing  …  which eventually became this blog.

I haven’t written a Mother’s Day poem in years.  But my daughter decided to have AI help her write a Mother’s Day poem for me this year.

Here is the poem written by AI.   It’s pretty good!  (Haha!)

“Forest Heart”
For Mom, on Mother’s Day

In a forest where the wild things grow,
Where rivers sing and soft winds blow,
Lives a soul so kind and free —
A mom who means the world to me.

With gentle hands and watchful eyes,
You greet each dawn, each bird that flies.
Deer know your voice, trees know your name,
To every creature, you’re the same —

A whisper, warm, a guiding light,
A steady flame in morning’s light.

You taught me how the pine trees sway,
You taught me love in every way.

(as an aside – the pine trees aren’t actually swaying … they’re currently wrapped in protective fencing, so the bucks don’t break the little trees off by scratching their antlers on them.)

The poem continues …
Your kindness blooms like wildflower fields,
And quiet strength is what it yields.

Your laughter is the song of streams,
Your joy can be found beneath the trees.

So here’s to you, with love so deep,
For all the roots you help me keep.
My wild, wise mom—my nature’s guide,
With you, I always walk with pride.

(This is a hilarious photo my son took. The poem says “With you I always walk with pride” … but in actuality my kids are usually standing around waiting on me, as I lag behind taking photos of nature. Haha!)

What fun joys in life!
Thank you God for AI generated Mother’s Day poems!
