Droopy … but still singing!

Droopy … but still singing!

The entrance into the new year of 2024 brought with it sickness which took hold of my home with vengeance!    2024 has been a dumpster-fire of a year so far!    Not just for us, but for everyone whom we know!    It feels like a new level of evil has been unleashed on the world.

I just noticed on my new calendar for this year that 2024 is the “Year of the Dragon.”

Ironic.

“The great dragon was hurled down – that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray.  He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.”   – Revelation 12:9

“Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you!  He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.”   – Revelation 12:12

Sickness ravaged my home.    Get-well flowers showed up at my door.

Aren’t they pretty!

Sickness continued to ravage my home.

Two weeks passed.

The get-well flowers began to droop.

The thought had never even occurred to me to see if the get-well flowers had a “song.”

Can flowers still sing … even if they are no longer attached to their roots??
Can cut flowers still sing??

Can cut,  droopy flowers still sing??

Lo and behold!   They can!!

I attached my electrodes to the eucalyptus leaves.    I was in awe at the song I heard!

You can listen to the cut, droopy flowers singing here.     (this video clip is 23 seconds)

Isn’t their song pretty!

The next day I wondered if the fern leaves in the cut, droopy flower arrangement might have a different song than the eucalyptus leaves.    So once again I hooked up my electrodes.

You can listen to the fern leaves singing here.    And the fern leaf song is indeed slightly different.   (each one of the video clips is 24 seconds)

Perhaps you too might be feeling like these cut,  droopy flowers.    Perhaps your 2024 thus far has been a dumpster-fire as well!

Keep singing!

“By day the LORD directs His love, at night His song is with me – a prayer to the God of my life.”   – Psalm 42:8

“I waited patiently for the LORD;  He turned to me and heard my cry.  …  He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.”   – Psalm 40:1, 3
