Come Walk with Me

Come Walk with Me

Come walk with me!
Come along.
Let’s share together
this journey we’re on.

Come walk with me.
I’ll match your stride,
so that together
we can walk side by side.

I’ll walk with you,
though your pace is slow
and you can’t go as fast
as I normally go.

I’ll walk with you.
I won’t leave you behind.
If you can’t keep up,
I won’t mind.

I’ll walk with you,
cause I know you’re not strong,
and the journey you’re on
is hard and long.

I’ll walk with you –
that’s what friends are for.
And you can point out things
I’ve never seen before.

I’ll walk with you
through those times of thick fog,
when life’s beach is scattered
with “driftwood logs.”

I’ll walk with you
the downhill mile or more
that it takes to reach
some calm peaceful shore.

I’ll walk with you
through hard uphill climbs,
encouraging you
so extra strength you can find.

I’ll walk with you –
we can chat along the way.
I learn so very much
from the things you have to say.

I’ll walk with you
in the tide’s ebb and flow.
Our journey together
helps us both to grow.

So come, walk with me!
Cause life is much more fun
when two walk together
instead of just one.
