Yesterday we pondered how that when we come to Jesus, the Gateway to Heaven, we will not be instantly swept through a spectacularly grand gate into a paradise of indescribable beauty. No. When we come to Jesus, the Gateway to Heaven, it might look a lot like the gate pictured in today’s background photo. There are doubts and questions: Does this gate really lead anywhere??
In John 1:45-46 we read about Nathanael who also had doubts and questions about Jesus.
“Philip found Nathanael and told him, ‘We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote – Jesus of Nazareth.’
‘Nazareth? Can anything good come from there?’ Nathanael asked.
“Come and see.’ said Philip.”
As you look at the gate pictured in today’s background photo, the same invitation is extended: Come and see. Let’s journey through the gate together and see where the path leads.
Philip told Nathanael that Jesus is the one whom Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote.
Come. Let’s take a journey together through the Bible.
Come and see … that Jesus is the Gateway to Heaven!
