Living in a dorm is sort of like traveling along your college journey on a bus together. Everyone is crammed onto the same bus together. Everyone is traveling to the same general destination. Everyone is experiencing the same traffic together. Everyone has the same opportunity for the same views out the windows.
There are some really weird people on the bus. There are some really obnoxious people on the bus. There are some people with bizarre fashion styles (or lack thereof) on the bus.
When you all first get on the bus no one really knows each other. But after traveling for a while together, you become general acquaintances, if not good friends.
