Today’s background photo pretty much sums up our world. Just about everyone everywhere is reacting to life by blowing fiery anger, rage, and hatred all over everyone else!
- “A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control.” -Proverbs 29:11
- “With his mouth the godless destroys his neighbor.” -Proverbs 11:9a
- “Hatred stirs up dissension ….” -Proverbs 10:12
- “A person who lacks judgment derides their neighbor.” -Proverbs 11:12a
- “A harsh word stirs up anger.” -Proverbs 15:1b
- “The tongue is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.” -James 3:6
It hurts to have fiery anger spewed out all over us! It hurts … and it singes our souls!
We can’t help but have our fuse lit when this happens.
How can we have a long fuse??
How can we respond in PATIENCE to quench the anger??
We need the Holy Spirit!!
The Holy Spirit’s power will quench the anger in our souls.
The Holy Spirit will give us wisdom and truth so that we can respond in PATIENCE.

The Sword of the Spirit (which is the Word of God) will produce the Fruit of the Spirit PATIENCE.
LOVE is PATIENT!
LOVE has a long fuse!
