I was headed out the driveway this morning when something bright caught my eye off to the side. A small rhododendron which we had planted last Spring has a solitary white bloom! This is in the same corner of the yard where I have been trying for the past three years to pull up blackberry vines.
A bloom in the briars!
A blessing in the blah.
Have you ever been in the “blah’s”?
Perhaps the “blah’s” over the coldness of a winter which just won’t seem to end.
Or perhaps the coldness of a relationship which just won’t seem to ever thaw.
Or perhaps a long “wintery” season of trial which just won’t ever end.
Don’t give up hope! God is there … at work in the briars! God is there … at work in the “blah’s”!
Keep pursuing that relationship!
Keep praying for that person!
Keep persevering through that trial!
God can give you a bloom in the briars … He can give you a blessing in the blah.
There is ALWAYS hope!
