Working Hands … and Warm Hands

Working Hands … and Warm Hands

Usually TV commercials have no impact on hubby or me whatsoever.  However, we were enjoying dinner at Texas Roadhouse when a commercial came on one of the TV’s advertising “Working Hands” – a cream specially designed for rough, dry, chapped, cracked hands.   Right away hubby pulled out his phone and ordered some “Working Hands” for me for Christmas!

What a fantastic Christmas present!   We didn’t even wrap it up.   I started using the hand cream immediately.   It is amazing!   It really does a miracle job of healing dry, cracked, bleeding hands!   I love my “Working Hands” Christmas gift!

Hubby received hand-warmers as his gift from the White Elephant Gift Exchange, at his company Holiday Party.   Hubby loves his hand-warmers Christmas gift!

You simply hold each warmer in your hand, and they heat up to warm your cold hands.   They are fantastic!  They are also rechargeable, so whenever the charge runs out you just plug them in and you’re good to go again!

These two Christmas gifts got me thinking about the gift of “Working Hands”  and the gift of “Warm Hands”  when it comes to life itself.

*   Working hands bake Christmas treats & cookies to share with friends and neighbors!

*   Working hands decorate for Christmas so that others can enjoy the festivities of the Holiday Season! (I have been the beneficiary of many of these Working hands this year – and for this beautiful gift I have been deeply grateful!)

*   Working hands wrap up Christmas presents with love!

*   Working hands carry Christmas boxes to the package store to ship!

*   Working hands write messages inside Christmas cards.   Working hands took the effort to write my name and address on the envelope.   Not only that – working hands took the effort to write a personal message just for me inside the card!   Wow – what a special gift!

*   Working hands bring fruit and juice and crackers to someone quarantining with Covid.

*   Working hands text to say:  “I love you” and “I care.”

Working hands are a very special gift!

Not only that  …   Warm Hands:

*   Warm hands reach out in welcome to say:  “You have a place here.”

*   Warm hands bring healing to a broken heart.

*   Warm hands give comfort in an icy cold world.

*   Warm hands help to keep our heart warm, so we don’t go cold ourselves.

*   Warm hands steady us when we’re shaken or confused.

*   Warm hands reach out to offer hope.

*   Warm hands don’t push us away when we’re having a bad day.

*   Warm hands don’t let go when we make mistakes.

Warm hands are a very special gift!

Jesus Christ had “Working Hands.”

– Jesus Christ stretched out his Working hands to swing a hammer as a carpenter and builder.

– Jesus Christ stretched out his Working hands to turn water into wine.

– Jesus Christ stretched out his Working hands to heal sick people;  to restore sight to blind people;  to raise dead people back to life.

– Jesus Christ stretched out his Working hands to turn 5 little loaves of bread and 2 small fish into enough food to feed 15,000 people.

– Jesus stretched out his Working hands to cleanse the Temple of corruption.

– Jesus Christ stretched out his Working hands on the cross to do the hardest work in the history of the world:  He paid the price for sin for all of humanity!

Jesus Christ also had “Warm Hands.”

– Jesus reached out with Warm hands to welcome children to come spend time with him.

– Jesus reached out with Warm hands to forgive sinners who had done very bad things.

– Jesus reached out with Warm hands to restore people who had failed.

– Jesus reached out with Warm hands to invite everyone to turn from sin and follow Him.

– Jesus (the Good Shepherd) reaches out with Warm hands to offer salvation to everyone who is lost like a little lamb!

– Jesus reaches out right now with Warm hands inviting everyone to Heaven!

Working hands  …  and Warm hands.

There could perhaps be no better gift this Christmas than to share love with someone through “Working Hands.”

And there could also perhaps be no better gift this Christmas than to share love and hope with someone through “Warm hands.”
