Halloween is just 3 days away! A holiday specially set aside to celebrate fear!
So, of course, I had to join in the festivities by: Celebrating fear … conquered!!
God himself wrote a special book just for us!
In God’s special book (written just for us), God tells us who he is!
God tells us that He is light … in him there is no darkness at all. (- 1 John 1:5)
If there is darkness and fear … that is not coming from God.
God is not darkness.
God is not fear.
God also tells us:
“God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” – 2 Timothy 1″7
A spirit of fear is not from God.
A spirit of fear is an unholy spirit.
A spirit of fear is a demonic spirit.
God, on the other hand, gives us a spirit of power!
This is the Holy Spirit!
The Holy Spirit is God himself!
“You [if you love and follow Jesus Christ] … you are controlled not by the sinful nature, but by the Holy Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you.
“If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.
“If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you [aka: this is the Holy Spirit … the spirit of power!] he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.” – Romans 8:9-11
The Holy Spirit is the spirit of power!
If you love and follow Jesus Christ, this very same Holy Spirit lives in you!
“I pray that you may know his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion.” – Ephesians 1:18-21
The Holy Spirit in you, the spirit of power, conquers the spirit of fear!
Not only that … the Holy Spirit conquers death!
Halloween is specially set aside to celebrate fear … and to celebrate death.
Guess what!?
The Holy Spirit … the spirit of power … the spirit of love … conquers death!
That’s worth celebrating right there!!
So Happy Halloween!
We can celebrate … because fear has been conquered!!

We can celebrate that we do not have a spirit of fear. That evil, unholy spirit of fear has absolutely no control over us.
If we belong to Jesus Christ … we are kept.
We are safe.
We are secure.
The Holy Spirit … the spirit of power … now lives in us!
The Holy Spirit … the spirit of love … now lives in us!
The Holy Spirit … the spirit of a sound mind … now lives in us!
Halloween is a time of much celebrating of spirits.
Our Holy Spirit is greater in power!
Our Holy Spirit conquers all other spirits!
Our Holy Spirit conquers the spirit of fear!
Our Holy Spirit conquers death!
