Come and see!

Come and see!

Since our plum tree seems to be getting lots of attention from the wildlife, hubby and I decided to move our Ring camera over into the woods. Last night hubby mounted the Ring camera to a tree just opposite the plum tree.

Within 30 minutes we had a visitor to the plum tree …

Hello Everyone!

This morning, around 9am, I noticed that the buck with the antlers had brought a friend to the plum tree. Can you see them? The buck with the antlers is on the right, and his friend is a young buck with small stubs of antlers just beginning to grow.

(In case you couldn’t spot them, I drew circles around them for you.)

As I watched the buck with antlers and his young buck friend feasting on the plums, I couldn’t help but think of the passage in John 1:43-51, where Philip went and told Nathanael about Jesus. Nathanael had been resting underneath a fig tree when Philip found him.

Philip told Nathanael: “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote – Jesus of Nazareth.”

Nathanael was skeptical: “Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?”

Philip responded: “Come and see.”

The animals in our forest have discovered that sweet, delicious plums are hanging heavy from our plum tree. Such news must be shared!

So, the word is spreading!

Hungry seekers are coming to see if there is something here for them.

In the same way, I can’t help but share with everyone out there reading the blog that Jesus is amazing! Jesus can bring you peace! Jesus can take away your shame and sin! Jesus can give you a fresh start and a brand-new life! Jesus can heal your broken heart!

If you are empty … if you are broken … if you are hungry for the truth … if you are searching for peace … Jesus is here for you!

Come and see!
