Our pastor has been preaching through Psalm 23. This past Sunday his sermon was: The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want.”
As I listened, I pondered how sometimes it doesn’t feel like “I shall not want.” Sometimes there are things that I really really want, which my good shepherd says “No” to.
The LORD, my shepherd, makes sure I have exactly what He knows I need, in order to accomplish exactly what He wants me to accomplish with my life.
If I do not have it, then that means He has already provided me with everything I need to do what He has called me to do.
“I pleaded with the LORD … but He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.'” – 2 Corinthians 12:8-9
