Lessons in the Dirt – Atmosphere

Lessons in the Dirt – Atmosphere

My daughter has taken a weekend trip away to Dallas, and she asked me to look after her air plant, “Harry” while she is away.  So I’m babysitting “Harry” and making sure he gets a good misting several times a day.   Last week, when we had a few super-hot sunny days, Harry began to dry out a bit and get crispy around the edges.  So I’m lovingly misting “Harry” back to health.  😊

It seems strange that a plant can live without any roots … that it gets all of its nutrients from the moisture in the air.

It’s all about atmosphere.  Whether or not an air plant can survive, and thrive, is 100% dependent on the atmosphere.

We each are a lot like an air plant.  What kind of “atmosphere” are you growing in right now?  Are you drying up from the parched atmosphere of “high temp” emotions that are constantly heating up society nowadays?  Or are you taking time to regularly, daily “mist” your soul with “Living Water.”  The atmosphere we’re all living in is so hot right now!  It will dry our souls up if we are not careful.  Mist your soul with God’s Living Water!  Intentionally!  Daily!
