Last week we had a couple of large cedar trees trimmed and tidied, as well as a couple of hazardous hemlocks taken down.
As a result, we now have a wonderful amount of bark chips for spreading throughout our flowerbeds (which they desperately needed). And we also have a wonderful amount of firewood with which to heat our home in the coming winter months.
What blessings!
But as you will notice, looking at the photo, these blessings came packaged in a work order.
Throughout my life I have heard Christians pray for God’s blessings. In fact, I have prayed for God’s blessings. But how often do we realize that the very blessings for which we have prayed, God has actually given to us … packaged in a work order.
As a young mom my children were absolutely my blessings! Wonderful blessings! They were also very much my work order!!
Hubby and I have been hard at work shoveling and spreading bark chips! Hubby has been hard at work bucking and splitting firewood. It has been back-breaking. It has been exhausting! We have been drained, and our muscles have been so sore!
But that right there is what “Blessings” look like.
Blessings come with a work order.
