The Fruit of the Spirit is FAITHFULNESS.
Our week on FAITHFULNESS began by looking at the FAITHFULNESS of God.
* “In the council of the holy ones God is greatly feared; He is more awesome than all who surround Him. O LORD God Almighty, who is like You? You are mighty, O LORD, and Your FAITHFULNESS surrounds you.” -Psalm 89:7-8
Throughout the course of this week, we have considered how the power of the Holy Spirit enables us to shine the LIGHT of Jesus FAITHFULLY in our dark world. The power of the Holy Spirit allows the very FAITHFULNESS of God Himself to flow in and through our lives to others.
Today, as we wrap up our thoughts on FAITHFULNESS, we see that in the end all will conclude with the FAITHFULNESS of Jesus Christ!
* “I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called FAITHFUL and TRUE. … His name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following Him …” -Revelation 19:11,13-14
* “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.” -2 Corinthians 5:10
Jesus’s very name is “FAITHFUL.”
Because Jesus, the FAITHFUL and TRUE, will be coming back to judge the earth and make all things RIGHT … we live our lives with this in mind!
* “Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 3:13-14
* “His master replied, ‘Well done good and FAITHFUL servant! You have been FAITHFUL with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share in the master’s happiness!’” -Matthew 25:21
* “The One who calls you is FAITHFUL and He will do it.” -1 Thessalonians 5:24
* “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.” -Philippians 4:13
God is FAITHFUL! We can trust Him!
