The Fruit of the Spirit is PEACE.
Cape Blanco Lighthouse, pictured in today’s background photo, is seen shrouded in dense, heavy, thick fog! A visitor arriving in the parking lot would assume the obvious … that the lighthouse is somewhere straight ahead … on the other side of the low metal guard-rail (possibly across a small patch of field?).
What is not obvious is that straight ahead, on the other side of the low metal guard-rail, the cliff suddenly and steeply drops away … to dangerous jagged rocks below, upon which the surf is pounding furiously!
The unwitting visitor would never know. Not in the dense, thick fog!
What is clearly obvious, however, is that danger is near! Rather than head directly for the lighthouse, across the low-metal guard-rail, prudence dictates that it would be wise to follow the marked path off to the side.
Life is much like this experience! For most of us, it feels as if all direction and clarity have been completely lost in the heavy fog of chaos, confusion, and disaster which have engulfed our world! Danger is out there! … just beyond our sight.
We are intent on getting to the lighthouse! So, we stick to the path! … we keep our eyes fixed on the goal!

* No matter the dense, heavy, thick fog … keep your eyes fixed on Jesus!
* No matter the unseen danger … keep your eyes fixed on Jesus! “He Himself is our PEACE.” (Ephesians 2:14) “You are a shield around me, O LORD.” (Psalm 3:3) “The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped.” (Psalm 28:7)
“… the Son will come to us from heaven to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of PEACE.” -Luke 1:78-79
“Great PEACE have they who love Your law, and nothing can make them stumble.” -Psalm 119:165
